CHEER Colorado offers multiple pathways for individuals to engage with and volunteer for CCO: Team Volunteers and Community Volunteers.
Team Volunteers are uniformed volunteers make a season-long (October to September) commitment and have fundraising and practice/event attendance requirements. These volunteers go through a skill-based tryout process and, depending on the results of a skill assessment, will be permitted to participate in various levels of stunting, cheer, dance, and/or spotting. The minimum age for Team Volunteers is 21.
Community Volunteers are non-uniformed volunteers who serve in a supportive capacity with a smaller fundraising requirement to amplify the mission of CHEER Colorado through individual acts of service that help ensure CCO performances, fundraisers, and/or collaborative projects are successful. The minimum age for Community Volunteers is 18.
Joining:
Team Volunteer tryouts happen annually each September. Once tryouts are over there will be no option to join as a Team Volunteer until the next season. You may request to join as a Community Volunteer at any point throughout the year.
