CCO Volunteer Application Updates
Season 8 starts October 1st of 2024 and we are officially kicking off Volunteer Recruitment with our CCO cheer clinics (optional skill-building clinics where you will learn CCO stunt techniques and choreography) and volunteer evaluations (mandatory to become a CCO Volunteer).

Street Parking only. Allow time to arrive and park. OR the Decatur-Federal RTD station is about half a mile away. We will ask that you arrive at least 10-15 minutes prior to your first event so that we can confirm your registration.

Time & Dates:
All clinics and evaluations take place on Wednesdays from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Registration opens at 6:30 p.m.

Volunteer Evaluations - September 11th ​
If you are interested in participating in Volunteer Evaluations to become a performing volunteer we recommend that you attend at least one clinic prior to evaluations. If you are not able to attend Evaluation Day on September 11th you can work with our coaching staff to plan an individual evaluation at the end of an earlier clinic.
Evaluation day is NOT REQUIRED. We encourage everyone to come experience one or more clinic days and then decide if you'd like to continue with evaluations.

Registration Forms:
All current and prospective volunteers interested in participating in CCO Cheer Clinics and Skill Evaluation must complete all of the following forms. Start with Step 1 and once completed the confirmation statement will include a link to the next form. If you ever get stuck you can come back to this page and pick up on the step you left off at. Please e-mail info@cheercolorado.org if you have any issues with the registration process.

NOTE: If you arrive at clinics or evaluations with incomplete paperwork you will not be able to participate until you complete all paperwork and show proof of current medical insurance.

Support the Mission: CHEER Colorado recommends a $5 donation to participate in individual clinics. Venmo QR codes will be available at the registration table.
​
Wear: Please wear a black or white t-shirt or tank top and athletic bottoms of your choice. Close toe athletic shoes are required - ideally cheer shoes with a smooth bottom.

Performing Safety Expectations:

Fingernails, including artificial nails, must be short (not visible from the palm side of the hand), rounded or square, and smooth.

100% of jewelry (including body piercings) must be removed or taped over with medical tape prior to the start of clinics. Medical tape will be available if needed.

Hair must be pinned, tied, or otherwise secured out of one’s face. Hair longer than shoulder length must be gathered and tied back.

No chewing gum or choking hazards while actively practicing, warming up, or being on the mats.

Eyeglasses must be made of shatterproof materials and be held in place with an elastic strap

NOTE: You will not be able to participate in all aspects of our clinics and evaluations if you are not in compliance with the performing safety expectations above.

Demonstration of Values
Submission of evidence of how you demonstrate SPARK in your every day life. This could be written answers, slide shows, songs, poems... whatever feels most comfortable and authentic to you.

Video Interviews
60 second video responses to two separate questions: "What is CHEER Colorado" and "How do you intend to fulfill your fundraising requirement this season?"

Supplemental Information
A personal reference that you have worked with in the past. Former CCO volunteers must also complete a personal assessment of their past experiences with CCO.
